Sections of equipment with definite boundaries within which process parameters are investigated for deviations. The concept of dividing a process into nodes for analysis is commonly, but not exclusively, used in HAZOPs.

Nodes are considered during Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) conducted by aeSolutions' trained facilitators. PHAs help companies identify hazard scenarios that could lead to a release of highly hazardous chemicals that can cause negative impact on people, the environment, and property.
